The Opening Ceremony will be held at the Tanjung Bungah Beach Hotel,
commencing at 1830. The Ceremony will consist of speeches and entertainment.
Full details of the Opening Ceremony and transport arrangements will be notified
to Crew Managers on arrival in Penang.
Entries for the Club Crew World Championships have been received from 90
Clubs from 19 Countries and Territories, racing in 12 Racing Classes. For the
Asian Dragon Boat Championships 11 ADBF Members have entered Teams in 6
Racing Classes. India and Iran will be represented for the first time
In total there will still be nearly 4000 Competitors, in Penang 2008 from five
Continents, with 182 Crews, contesting 52 Championship Classes over the four
days of racing. A record number of athletes at a World Championships Regatta.
