Day 4 Wednesday (25/6/2008)

Well, another morning has come. Every body woke up early and were feeling excited. Know why? Because our next destination finally will be Bangkok, Thailand! Our convoy just can't wait and be prepare so to depart early from Kanchanaburi and time to say goodbye to River Kwai.

Before go off, let's take a group photo. Every one were cheerful and with a big smile. That's the way of life! Dont't worry, be happy!

Middle of the way, we have stopped at the Sanam Chandra Palace which is located in Nakorn Pathom, a province 56km south of Bangkok. The palace is about a kilometer away from the majestic pagoda, Phra Pathom Chedi.

The location was formerly called "Noen Prasart", and believed to be the site of an ancient palace. Close to Noen Prasart, before a Brahman shrine, was located a natural pool called "Sa Nam Chand"

Take a break. Our beautiful lady were riding on the club car and ready for photo.

This is a tiny castle-look hall built in a combination of French Renaissance and English half-timber, but with some adaption to suit the tropical climate of Thailand. It is located to the south of the vast open field. H.M. King Rama IV had it build around 1908, with M.C. Itthi-thepsan Kritdakorn as its architect.

Statue of Yalae. "Yalae" was a black and white in color hybird dog with bushy tail and falling ears. It was born in the Nakorn Pathom jail house. Once during his visit to the jail house, H.M. King Rama VI saw the puppy and commented on its cute. The chief warden Luang Chai-arya later presented the puppy to the king. Yalae became the king's dog and he named it "Yalae" after a leading character in one of his favorite plays.

In addition, the king had another plan for this palace. It was to serve not only as a retreat, but also as a stronghold during a national crisis. Here, he regularly held practices for the Wild Tigers Corps, a para - military troop.

One of the most amazing miracle temple in Thailand "Phra Pathom Chedi".

Is time for lunch now. After visited several interested place. We were having our lunch at the Whale Hotel which is located nearby the Phra Pathom Chedi.

Well, what I can say is delicious Thai cuisine like chicken, fish, pork, prawn, vegetable and squid is our lunch! Just inmagine that, every day we were here go on our trip, enjoy our "foods". So when we go back, please don't be surprise if our "look" and our "size" were different before we were in Penang.

Ladies and gentlement, enjoy your lunch and eat as much as you can. But then just to remeber don't ever waste food, saving food also is a good practise for ourself.

Giant duck! Here in Thailand, they were having a OTOP (One Tambon One Products) from nature, extraordinarily skilled lands and Thailand's cultural heritage . And seems that we were passed by the area of produced duck related products.

End of the day we have reach Bangkok! Every one were so excited and wait at the lobby of The Emerald Hotel, Bangkok to refer to our captain so to allocate rooms to stay.

Night view from the outside of the hotel. Isn't it beautiful? No doubt The Emerald hotel is located in the heart of Bangkok most exciting business, entertainment and shopping area. Only 20 minutes away from the central business district and easy accesss to other tourist and local attractions via the new subway at your doorstep and the BTS skytrain nearby.
